It's a little heartbreaking at times.  The company I used to work for did a lot of work with Dodge Brands and we used to get to Drive the "demo" cars before the vehicles were released to the public which was kind of cool.

I watched them crush a test-mule 1 tonne Duelly 4x4 Quad Cab with the Cummins Diesel with full leather interior intact.  Tech we dealt with told me they only pulled the computer for the data within and had crushed the rest of the truck.

Reasoning was because it was a pre-production vehicle and could not be sold to the public for fear of a lawsuit if the airbags did not deploy or if any of the other safety features did not work.  It only had 50 thousand kms on the clock.

A little info

Quote
Those cars are all test Fix for panels and Mule bodies and some might have body defects on the LX's they get recycled

Challengers are P1 first run through the body shop

We will be crushing all the S1 and newer piolits as they are not allowed to be sold to the public they were build Pre crash test certificate so they are crushed

They are not all defect cars just not a saleable unites

The crusher comes ever few months to clean up the yard

Suprised security did not ask about the cammera it is a no info section of the plant between body and paint and the assembly side of the building

The car you like with the chrome wheels is a 2009 S2 piolot R/T with a 5.7 could be a manual or auto ???
